Sofia Hansrod (SolidProof) – PROOFREADER and COPY EDITOR
SolidProof is a professional proofreading and editing service, based in Christchurch but providing services throughout New Zealand and the world.
I have a Diploma of Proofreading & Editing from the New Zealand Institute of Business Studies, as well as a Bachelor of Health (Speech Language Therapy). I have a passion for language and the written word and can offer a fresh, independent eye to look over your manuscript or document. I have a strong eye for detail and I love polishing and perfecting written text.
Your text will be checked for correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, basic formatting. It does not change the contents of the document in any way.
This includes proofreading but in addition provides suggestions regarding word choice, sentence structure and style (phrasing), and clarity of expression, so that the text will ‘flow’ well and appeal to the target audience. This ensures the writing is clear, correct, concise, consistent and comprehensible.
My areas of expertise and interest include, but are not limited to: health/lifestyle, alternative/holistic health, speech and language pathology, child development, English for speakers of other languages (ESOL), personal development and travel. I have specific interest and experience in equestrian topics. However, I welcome projects from a wide variety of topics and specialist fields. I work with fiction and non-fiction manuscripts, e-books as well as traditional print books. I also offer services for (small) business owners, students and speakers of English as a second language. Please see my website for more details.
