80gsm copy type paper (the standard lower cost option but not as suitable for pictures)

100gsm standard quality paper (suitable for books with b&w and colour pictures and images)

100gsm best quality acid free paper (high quality, excellent for pictures and images)

80gsm Munken Cream paper (great for poetry or an old fashioned look but not normally suitable for colour printing)

The "gsm" number is the weight in grams per square meter, which means that the higher the number the heavier and thicker the paper is. The heaver papers are more expensive than the lighter ones.

Correct .pdf files

IMPORTANT, PDF and print ready files must conform to the following specifications.

• Be high resolution files for print and not low res internet files
• If PDF have embedded fonts and images
• Have pages in sequential order, 1,2,3 4,etc and not have pages that have been imposed two up on a sheet
• Be in the correct page size for the book size that you have chosen. If you require an A4 size book do not confuse this with US letter which is a different size. (But often the size that your computer will default to)
